“It was the first IT job I applied for and I got it!”

Once again Industry Connect have helped launched someone’s career in the IT world!

This time it’s Archika who has landed a job as a test analyst.

We caught up with her to ask about her experiences with us and if she would recommend the internship to others.

First of all, congratulations! Do you think Industry Connect helped you in getting a job as a test analyst?

Oh yes. When I joined the course it was a bit difficult for me because it was a whole new domain for me. When I joined the course I gained a lot of confidence with each and every task, especially with the last task, the advanced task, because it covered all the course.

So I had hands-on experience with all these technologies so I felt confident facing an interview. Previously I was not sure how I would handle a technical interview because I was not familiar with these technologies.

When I went to the interview, they asked me more about my internship; what have you done, how did you do this, what keeps you motivated, that kind of thing. It was the first job in IT I applied for and I got it, so that boosted my confidence.

The course structure and everything kept me motivated. Each task had a deadline and everything so, yeah, it kept me motivated.

What was your favourite part when doing your internship?

Firstly, it’s a remote internship, so everyone can arrange everything according to their schedule. Someone might be working fulltime, someone might be working parttime and someone might have other commitments, so it’s really easy to manage everything. You can work when you’re free and commit your time.

The other thing I liked was the course structure. The tasks are arranged like the onboarding tasks, to then competition tasks, then advanced tasks – it’s really good how it’s arranged, allowing everyone to move ahead.

Would you recommend Industry Connect to everyone?

Yeah, definitely, definitely. In fact, I have already recommended it to some people! This course helped me a lot. A lot. So yeah, I would definitely recommend it to people.

Training, hands-on experience… it’s definitely the whole package. And then after we get a job you also provide support, so that’s really nice!
