Fancy a job as a data analyst? Well so did Chesda, and he got one by joining us!

We caught up with him to ask about his time with Industry Connect and if he had any advice for people in the same boat as he was.

First of all Chesda, congratulations on your new job as a data analyst! How was your internship experience with Industry Connect?

I think the biggest part is, it sort of helped me grow as a person and helped me gain confidence more in myself and with my coding skills and communication skills. Yeah I found the process to be really easy and just really good.

From the signup process to the lectures and the projects – I had no problems with it at all.

I learned a lot about the backend and database and the structures and sql code and all that because coming into the internship I was more of a front-end developer, so I didn’t really have much skills in the API’s, back-end and all that, so yeah the projects really helped me.

I found the lecturers to be really helpful as well because whenever I was stuck with anything I could just flick them a message in slack.

And also the question hub was really good and it was good how it was an active user base.

Great stuff. Would you recommend Industry Connect to others?

Yeah I’ll definitely recommend Industry Connect to anyone who’s looking to get into it or the technology field industry. It’s got a good support system there and we learn a lot through the projects. It can be quite difficult at the start, but once you sort of build your skills and knowledge you’ll be able to go through the projects and tasks real easy.

It also helps you get shortlisted for interviews as well because they say that you have experience in the programming industry and internships so yeah, I would definitely recommend Industry Connect!

Well thank you Chesda, and good luck in your new job as a data analyst!
